Professor José Miguel Cardoso Pereira joins the Advisory Committee for the Mid-Term Evaluation of Portugal’s Strategy for Integrated Rural Fire Management

The OECD has been mandated by the Government of Portugal to conduct the mid-term evaluation of its National Strategy for Integrated Rural Fire Management 2020-2030 (ENGIFR). This independent evaluation aims to assess the relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability of the strategy and its associated projects, in order to identify necessary adjustments halfway through the Plan’s implementation and improve rural fire management in Portugal.

As part of the evaluation process, an Advisory Committee was established to guide and support the OECD’s work. Due to his expertise and perspectives on the matters under evaluation, Full Professor at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) and Researcher at the Forest Research Center (CEF), José Miguel Cardoso Pereira, was invited to join this Advisory Committee.
