During June 2020, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV or drone) overfly a stretch of near 5 km of the River Lima, collecting remotely sensed data within the scope of Project RIVEAL. The collected high-resolution imagery will provide details of the fluvial vegetation mosaic in different wavelengths for mapping and quantifying key ecosystem services of riparian forests. Data will ultimately be used to predict the balance of these services under diverse climatic, land use, and water management scenarios in the Portuguese fluvial landscapes. Fly over the study area here.
