The twelfth factsheet of the RIVEAL project discloses the analytical methodology used in the RIVEAL project to understand the existing relationships between environmental and biological data, as well as to forecast the response of the several biological elements according to different land use and river regulation scenarios and the gains or losses in ecosystem services. This factsheet – Bayesian Networks – features the graphic models that represent cause-effect relationships among a set of variables, relying on the Bayes theorem to model the propagation of probabilities along the influence network.
