Scholarship Program of Korean Government

The Chonnam National University (CNU), in South Korea, are recruiting exchange students, which will be funded by the governmental scholarship for 1 semester or 2 semesters (1 year).

(Spring semester from March and Fall semester from September)

Please refer to the qualifications for applying to this scholarship program:

  • Students in Bachelor's degree course
  • Total GPA (out all semesters the student has taken) should be more than 80%
  • Students need to study regular courses at CNU (not only Korean Language courses)
  • Students who have not taken any scholarships from Korean government
  • Students who have double-nationality including South Korea cannot apply

*One regular course should be registered related to Korean Language or Culture.(Minimum 2 Korean Credits)
*Students shall submit a report on their studying in South Korea
*Students shall submit their photos, personal address, email address, academic materials related to their majors, in order to set up a data base and conduct a relevant survey.
*If the student is here for a year, the first semester's grade should be more than 80%.

This scholarship will include:

  • Support for settlement: 200,000 won ($200)
  • Monthly living cost: 800,000 won ($800) per one month
  • Airfare (Round-trip) based on the standard
  • Medical Insurance Fee: no more than 20,000 won ($20) per one month
