Welcome Note

The Organizing Committee is delighted to invite you to participate in the 21^st International Meeting on Frankia and Actinorhizal Plants / 1^st International Conference on Neglected Legumes, a pioneering event dedicated to exploring the scientific, ecological, and agricultural significance of these vital yet underutilized plant groups.

The event will be held in Lisbon, July 14-17, under the motto Unlocking the Potential of Actinorhizal Plants and Neglected Legume Plants for Sustainable Development. The conference will bring together researchers from across the globe to:

• Share cutting-edge research on actinorhizal plants and neglected legume plants.
• Discuss their roles in sustainable agriculture, ecosystem restoration, and climate change mitigation, as well as their potential for the provision of nature-based solutions.
• Identify pathways to integrate these plants into mainstream scientific, agroecological and ecosystem restoration practices.
