This consortium that brings together 403 researchers from five leading and highly complementary R&D units from the University of Lisbon (Centro de Estudos Florestais - CEF, Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food - LEAF, Centro de Estudos Geográficos - CEG, Instituto de Saúde Ambiental - ISAMB) and University of Coimbra (Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet, CFE).

The R&D units are complementary under a thematic convergence: sustainability in land use from the perspective of the ecosystem and the population.

According to the provisional results, the evaluation Panel recommended the award of the title of Laboratório Associado for the period of ten years and recommended complementary funding, as annual average for the period 2021-2025, of 223 564.00.
