On June 29, Catarina Sequeira defended the thesis "Regimes of fire and dynamics of the rural landscape in the central system: Serra da Estrela and Sierra de Ayllón" at the Complutense University of Madrid, having obtained a doctoral degree with a "sobresaliente cum laude" classification. Very topical subject using historical archives for a better understanding of forest wildfires today.
On November 11, Iryna Skulska defended the thesis "Governance of community forest areas in mainland Portugal over the last 40 years: results, current trends and future perspectives" at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, having obtained a PhD degree with distinction. Also a very pertinent subject on the Governance of community forest areas (Baldios) in Portugal over the last 40 years.
Congratulations to the most recent CEABN InBIO doctorates!
