The aim of this research area is to contribute to the sustainable management and conservation of wildlife populations through the investigation of wildlife-habitat inter-relationships. In particular, we are conducting research on the effects of wildlife on ecosystems (e.g. the impact of wild herbivores on vegetation dynamics), on the ecology and management of game species (e.g. turtle dove, Streptopelia turtur), and on the impacts of agricultural changes on the populations of species with unfavourable conservation status (e.g. great bustard, Otis tarda, and the little bustard, Tetrax tetrax).
