Kick-off meeting: The kick-off meeting of the ForEAdapt project was held in Thessaloniki (Greece) the 7th of June 2011. The meeting was held at the same time than FORSYS Cost Action meeting ECOST-MEETING-FP0804-060611-007295

Scientific Conference: Three talks were given by Dr. Alexandra Marques (ISA) and Professors José G. Borges and Manuela Oliveira (ISA) presenting methodologies and results in the 14th Symposium for System Analysis in Forest Resources, March 8-11, Maitencillo, Chile.

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by Dr Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo (ISA) in the INFORMS Annual Meeting 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States of America, 11th to 16th November 2011.

Scientific Conference: Parcitipation in the organization of the international conference entitled "Tackling climate change: the contribution of forest scientific knowledge". To be held during 21 - 24 of May 2012 in Tours (France). www.gip-ecofor.org/Tours2012

Research Seminar: A research seminar took place at at the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil) on May 8th 2012 with the title "Preliminary assessment of climate change impact on optimized strategic plans of eucalyptus plantations in São Paulo".

Scientific Conference: Parcitipation in the organization of the international scientific conference entitled "Implementation of DSS tools into the forestry practice" held in Zvolen, Slovakia, May 9th to 11th 2012".

Scientific Conference: ForEAdapt was introduced in international conference entitled "Tackling climate change: the contribution of forest scientific knowledge". 21 - 24 of May 2012 in Tours (France). www.gip-ecofor.org/Tours2012

Scientific Conference: Professor José G. Borges (ISA) was invited to give a talk about adaptive forest management in the MEDPINE4 – 4th International Conference on Mediterranean Pines, June 6-10, 2011 Avignon, France (title: adaptive management to global change in Mediterranean pine forests).

Scientific Workshop: Professor José G. Borges (ISA) was member of the organizing commitee of the AGORA Workshop: “Methods and tools for participatory and adaptive forest management”, December 5-7, 2011, Fez, Morocco. There, results of the ForEAdapt project were presented by professor Jose G Borges and Dr Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo.

Research Seminar: A research seminar took place at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA, Portugal) on February 1st 2012.The title of the seminar by Professor Luiz Carlos Estraviz Rodriguez (USP) was: "Pagamento por Serviços Ambientais (PAS) e florestas plantadas no Brazil tópicos para discussão". In this seminar it was explained the expansion of plantations in Brazil, concept of the service payment system and the peculiarities of the Brazilian forest sector.

Research Seminar: A research seminar took place at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA, Portugal) on February 15th. The title of the seminar by Silvana Nobre was: “Procedimentos de Avaliação de ativos florestais no Brasil”.

Workshop: Dr Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo (ISA) participated in the workshop entitled "Forest models for research and decision support in sustainable forest management COST FP0603 Final meeting. Pierroton (Bordeaux), France - 1-2 March 2012. Title of the communication: Integrating growth and yield models in decision support systems at different spatial levels.

Scientific Conference: Results of the project where presented by MSc. Anu Korosuo (SLU) in the conference RegioResources 21, Dresden, Germany; 21-23 May 2012. The title of the presentation was "How to elicit spatial preference information using value functions”.

Scientific Conference: Three Posters were presented and a talk was given by Professor Paulina Fernández (PUC) on the 2012 IUFRO conference Division 5 on FOREST PRODUCTS held during 8-13th of July 2012 in Estoril (Portugal).

Research Seminar: A research seminar took place at at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA, Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal) on July 25th 2012 with the title "Modelación funcional-estructural de crecimiento y calidad de madera en árboles".

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by Dr. Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo (ISA) in the 4th International Conference on Applied Operational Research - ICAOR2012 in Bangkok (Thailand) on July 25th to 27th July 2012 with the title "Comparison of effectiveness of different implementations of a heuristic forest harvest scheduling search procedure with different number of decision choices simultaneously changed per move".

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by Dr. Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo (ISA) in the INFORMS annual meeting in Phoenix (USA) on October 14th 2012 to October 17th 2012 with the title "Finding the Efficient Frontier of a Multiple Criteria Planning Problem in Cork and Holm Oak Forest".

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by M.Sc Susete Marques (ISA) in the INFORMS annual meeting in Phoenix (USA) on October 14th 2012 to October 17th 2012 with the title "A Stochastic, Cellular Multi-objective Forest Harvesting Model with the Risk of Fire".

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by Professor Marc McDill(PSU) in the INFORMS annual meeting in Phoenix (USA) on October 14th 2012 to October 17th 2012 with the title "Preventing Orphan Stands in Spatially Explicit Forest Management Planning".

Scientific Conference: Results of the project were presented by Dr. Jordi Garcia-Gonzalo (ISA) in the OPTIMA annual meeting in Concepcion (Chile) on October 29th 2013 with the title "Adressing Climate Change in a Stochastic Optimization Model in Forest Planning".
