General Information

University of Evora (UE) is the 2nd oldest Portuguese University, and is one of Portugal´s 14 public universities. UE is composed of three university schools: Arts; Sciences and Technology; Social Sciences, and the Polytechnic School of Nursing. UE is committed to innovation, quality and the attainment of national and international recognition in the pillars of Education, Research and Cooperation with Society. Research is organized in several areas through a network of 14 Units (RU) all of them submitted to international evaluation in 2007-08.

Main research areas

The researchers participating in this project are specialists in applied mathematics and operations research. The main tasks in this project relate to the development of pareto frontier methods for trade-off analysis.

Key Persons

Dr. Vladimir Bushenkov, professor of Applied Mathematics. His research interests are Multi-objective optimization and Decision Support Systems.

Dr. Mauela Oliveira professor of Statistics. Her research interests linked to environmental sciences concentrate in risk modelling and appraisal.
